SHRM Outlines Policy Priorities on COVID-19 to Capitol Hill

On April 20th, SHRM sent a letter to Congressional leaders outlining its members’ policy priorities. SHRM President & CEO Johnny C. Taylor, Jr. and SHRM Head of Government Affairs, Emily M. Dickens wrote “During this public health crisis our members are leading their organizational response to COVID-19 and will continue to shepherd employers and employees through the post pandemic recovery. Therefore as Congress develops additional COVID-19 relief legislation, SHRM urges policymakers to consider the following issues which are important to our members.”

These issues include:

  • Small Businesses
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)
  • Paid Leave
  • Job Share Programs
  • Unemployment Insurance (UI)
