Nonprofit organizations, including SHRM state councils and chapters, are experiencing severe financial hardships due to COVID-19. It is important to preserve these organizations’ ability to provide critical services to help HR professionals in every state navigate the current and post-COVID-19 environment.
SHRM encourages Congress to support the inclusion of all nonprofit organizations in any COVID-19 relief legislation. Nonprofit organizations provide important services to their communities. Without congressional action, small businesses and nonprofits will be forced to further limit their services and reduce or eliminate employment.
