SHRM A-Team Members Advocate for Second Chances at Massachusetts State House

As part of its second annual statewide legislative conference, the Massachusetts SHRM State Council and 75 HR professionals met with state lawmakers in Boston to discuss important workplace issues. The group advocated on one of SHRM’s workforce development priorities known as Getting Talent Back to Work—an initiative designed to encourage and help employers across the country to provide job opportunities to people who were formerly incarcerated. You can support this effort by signing the pledge here.

Attendees also received an update from the Massachusetts Undersecretary of Labor on the development of implementing regulations for the state’s recently enacted Paid Family and Medical Leave law.
