Montana SHRM Steps Up to be a Resource and “Channel for Communicating” for Montana Governor Steve Bullock

In response to his address to Montanans on the evening of March 17 about the threat of the COVID-19 outbreak to the Big Sky state, MT SHRM State Council director Desiree Navarro penned the following message and sent it via Governor Steve Bullock’s webform on his website. At this critical time for both employees and employers, HR finds itself once again on the front line, serving as a resource of information and guidance on what to do next.

Hello,

My name is Desiree Navarro and I am the Director of the Montana SHRM State Council. SHRM is the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM.org). We represent 7 local chapters across the state of Montana with 500 members in the HR related profession. We are a non-profit organization providing support, tools and resources to HR professionals and organizations across our state on all employment and employer topics.

With the rapidly changing work environment right now I wanted to reach out to see how our State Council or Local Chapters could be of support to you during this unprecedented time, specifically with the employer related issues. We’d be happy to provide insight, feedback or even be a channel for communication to HR and Businesses across our state to keep them apprised of everything our great state is doing.

We want to be of any help we can. Our HR teams represent both public and private sector organizations, large and small and we’d love the opportunity to partner on these critical issues.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Desiree Navarro, MBA, SHRM-SCP, SPHR
Montana SHRM Director
